Default Strange Engine

So 2 weeks ago I do a comp test find out that cylinder #3 is toast. Well I'm driving home from work this morning at around 6:15am and my car starts sputtering like its outta gas, so I floor it and it stops and the next thing I know I'm zipping down the bloody road in 3rd doing like 110k. So anyways I take it out to the highway and try something, cruise upto 130 in 4th and hit 5th.. well shit its still going and finally tops out at around 180. So I get home and do a comp test, instead of 0 I'm getting 25psi now.. Is that weird or what! So I get some carbon cleaner and put it in and now I'm about todo a comp test as soon as the car cools down a bit.

pretty weird, is there any chance the guage came out of the #3 hole when you were spinning it over? or possibly the guage needle was stuck? 25 is pretty low though, sounds like there is a prob. what are your other 3 comp readings? if there pretty even your ok

I've done a comp test before . cranked it over 5x and it was if I remember correctly 150 for 1,2, and 4. But 3 was 0 wasn't even creating any compression. So this is a strange problem, but hey, if its gonna work this way fine by me.

Lots of possibilities.

If some oil leaked into the combustion chamber, it could have helped out your compression if it's your rings that are bad.

If the car was cold when you tested the first time and warm the second, it could have helped the headgasket seal better.
