header comparison...
Who has, or knows of anyone running one of these headers -
apexi gt spec 1 piece 4-2-1 / dc sports 1 piece 4-2-1 stainless?
I'm looking into a new header for my D16z6 and want something that's going to give me a little more mid range torque, so I figured I would want something with longer primarys than a two piece 4-2-1. I'm currently running a neuspeed 4-2-1 two piece which I'm happy with, but the coating is starting to come off and it's a little banged up, so it's time for a new one. I can't justify running a 4-1 header, since it's a daily driver, but if someone has a suggestion on a good 1 piece stainless header, feel free to let me know what you think. Thanks!
BTW: I'm running a zex street/strip cam with slightly bigger valves and stiffer springs on a ported Z6 head

I cruise on the freeway at about 2900 rpm@75mph - do you think the 4-1 header will still give me enough torque/hp to do that? I don't really want to give up my hard obtained low end torque. The engine pulls pretty hard up to 7600 right now with the old header, so I don't think I need any more top end power. I'd rather have a little more in the mid-range rpms. I heard great things about the apexi header, but the price is kinda up there. The DC header is 100 bucks less, but has larger and shorter primaries - probably a better choice for more top end. I guess you get what you pay for ( a lot of money for 1 or 2 extra hp )
