New Timing Belt
My 96 Civic is almost at 90,000 miles. I know it needs new belts and such, but I am a newbie at this. What should I ask my Honda guy to do? I figure a new timing belt and water pump at least. When you ask for all the belts to be changed, what does that entail? Anything else I should ask for? The last time I was there, he told me that he would do all the belts and the water pump for $350. Is that good? Any input you all can offer is greatly appreciated.

that's a fair price to all that stuff - as long as he replaces the timing belt, water pump and all the auxillary belts with it. You might want to tell him to replace the front crank seal while he's there - they leak a lot on hondas, and maybe throw in a valve lash adjustment since the valve cover has to come off as well to get to the timing belt. (PS make sure he uses Honda seals for the crank and valve cover, aftermarket seals usually suck)
