1992 Integra ECU Chipped Problem?!?!
I just got my ECU Chipped (had a eletronics co. solider the 2 sockets, caps, and resistor on for me) and I seem to be having a small (maybe big problem) with it. SOMETIMES when I sit and hold the idel between 1500-3000RPM's it will drop all of a sudden to 800-1000RPM's on its own and then go back up. It keeps on doing this over and over until I either let off the gas or rev it higher. Maybe a problem with the chip?
I agree with phiz, but also have seen bad eeproms - when people don't handle them in a static free environment. Where did you get your chip from? Some of the shareware stuff that's out there is corrupted.
I'll have a burner pretty soon, and I'm getting heavy into ecu hacking. I also have a stage 2b on the way, which I will be upgrading to s200b, with datalogging, and romeditor.
I have access to prom burners at school right now, if I had some blanks, I'd send this kid out a decent rom, have him ship me his, and then take it apart, see what it looks like...
I think I'm going to drop the s200 into clients cars, tune with the hondata, and then plot the fuel/timing curves with a different application, and burn stand-alone chips.
Oh, I'm also going to get/build a lambda meter.
