thats not true at all about an EX getting beat by an RS or GS. i have a 99 EX with just intake and ive raced numerous GS's and have never had a problem beating them. they are pretty slow.

Street racing is hardly a good gauge on how fast a perticular car is capable of being.

but going from a punch theres no real way to mess up, its really fault proof. so the faster car will win.

Er not at all. Think about it, it is far from fault proof.

Who starts first

Who shifts at better points

Who shifts quicker (including fast clutching and stepping on getting back on the gas)

The condition of either car

Condition of the road even comes into play

Further you are talking about a specifc car instead of all EX and all B18B integras. For all you know those integras might have been running on two spark plugs, had bald tires, and were automatics. Not saying that is the case, but its no baises to say "EX fast, LS slow".

Civic EX stock runs a high 16, where a Stock RS/LS/GS runs a low 16 or high 15. There is more than half a second difference in the ET.

That doesn't mean that the RS/LS/GS can not be beat by an EX, driving skill and difference can more and make up for the difference in the cars.

and none of those points come up at the track like who shifts faster, who starts first, condition of the car, thats all part of the track so it doesnt matter where you race. true the track does have different start feel, but from a punch all those considerations are the same.

You are missing the point

You said "LS are slower than EX cause I beat them from a punch"
then said "Punch is fool proof, only the faster car will win"

I am saying "Gauging how fast a stock car can be by street racing = dumb"

"Racing from a punch = Driver skill matters, its not just car vs car"

Ok guys, here it is:

1.) This isn't a kills forum.

2.) Since it isn't a kills forum, we don't care which car is faster stock v stock, and don't condone street racing.

3.) This is a tech forum.

4.) Since it is a tech forum, if you ask how to make car X faster than car Y in Z state of mod, then we would entertain this question.

If you have any questions, I can be reached on PM or instant messager.
