Default MSD dist. CAP help!

Okay go to this site http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MxeTU0MQ%3D%3D and read what it says... or if your too lazy or can't open it, basically the red part on the outside of the dist. CAP there is a red piece around the EXTERNAL plug. well when i replaced my ignitor i noticed the red part got smaller and was like making an INTERNAL part inside to fit inside my internal coil (dont' know if i should take out internal coil if i have the MSD cap?)

I was just wondering if i should keep my MSD 6A w/Blaster 2 coil on the cap so it can contiue to do what its doing or will that cause problems soon?

Retake on whats happening:
1. MSD 6 Ignition and blaster 2 coil is connected up and coil is on MSD distributor cap
2. When i try to crank it over (start my car), it putts like 2 times and then starts up, but sometimes it takes longer than that.
3. I took off the coil wire off the distributor and it starts up without any putts or any trouble.
4. I have no clue what to do and thats why i'm posting.
