common sense, a H22 in a del sol? of course LOTS of mods in order to fit it in, i'd say LS/VTEC or B16a2 or B18C1/C5

My vote with 9000...get a B18C1, fully build it up, then turbo it hardcore. You'll still have money to spend after that, too...

It bolts right in, if that's what you mean. But I'm not totally sure what you mean as far as "mods" go.

If you're talking about installing it, I've read all over this board that it's a piece of cake.

I'd get a Dart b20 short deck block with the Eagle stroker kit and use a ported B18C head, add a turbo and you're right at $9k with a bombproof engine.

your options are wide with 9K to spend, now its just a matter of what you really want. If you cram an h22 in your del sol, it will be fast stock, in a straight line, and thats about it. And if you need to work on it, it wont be pleasing. A b-series will be a much better fit, the b18c5 is a good motor even stock in your car but if you plan on going turbo then the b18c1 gs-r motor is the more ideal for turbo for many reasons. Just depends on what you want to do, I know someone with a b16a in his del sol with just bolt ons and hes in the 14's easily in the 1/4 mile, not bad for not spending hardly any money. So with 9k you can really go any route you want, just make sure its the car you want to do that with......
