fast foot...
I drive kinda fast(about 15-20 abv. speed limit). Still haven't got a ticket yet(thank God). My mom comments about it all the time and she said she saw a thing somewhere that will sound an alarm or something if you go above a certain speed limit. She said you set the speed limit, and if you go over, it will start the alarm and will not turn off until you are under limit. I've never heard of anything like this before. Is there such an enemy?

I don't believe so; since if you think about it, there are different speed limit for different roads. There is no way to differentiate that unless all the roads are installed with transmitters of that information.
In all cases, you should slow down though. 10mph above speed limit is more than 'adequate' for most cases. I read a survey somewhere that Highway patrol will usually let you go up till 12mph or so. Then, they'll smack u with a ticket. Depending on the officer though of course.

I heard a funny story but I guess it's true, actually I heard it after I smacked into the back of minivan that was being a dumbass, anyways, there's a guy that this old lady knows that used to get alot of DUIs so eventually the state installed this machine kinda like a breathalyzer that he has to blow in before he can even start his car. I thought it was kinda funny, i think i should get one of those for a good buddy of mine, he drives drunk way too more than he should :drunk: :slap:
If they DID have a machine like that (and I really doubt they do, your mom is just trying to put the fear of god in you), it would probably have a trigger set at 65 mph... because I don't think any state other than Montana, Wyoming, etc. has a speed limit about 65. If the idea is to keep you at or below the speed limit at all times, setting it at 65 would make sense.
Teg711, I've also heard about those machines you have to breathe into to start the car. Man, that sucks, even though it has a good purpose. How embarassing, though, if you failed it; I bet it records entries, too. The cop will pull out the disk, and it will read "attempted DUI, car didn't start," and the dude would be in a world of trouble.
