Ecu replacement-2003 Acura TL
Need to replace Ecu on a 2004 Acura TL, have a used ecu from exact year & model vehicle. I also have the chip key that is matched to this ecu. What are the steps to make the car start up?
Hell to the NO.......I have no interest or skills for that. Your response was legit based on how I posed the question.... I'm a mobile automotive locksmith who specialize in programming transponder "chip" keys, smartkey fobs, reset immobilizers etc..........I have been getting many more service requests from auto repair shops that have replaced a ecm/pcm and they don't want to tow vehicle to dealer for programming...... I have not done many Honda/Acura ecm changeouts and was a little unfamiliar with them.
I hope that sets the record straight and answers your question.

lol ok Ya for the most part the data is held in the ecu and the key that is all. Some of the cars need a matching ecu, key and immobilizer unit. There are also some immobilizer tricks out ther. http://www.doctronic.at/Mobilizier_Board_E.htm and http://www.doctronic.at/mobilizer_fx01_E.htm and http://www.xenocron.com/diy-swapbox-...ble-p-473.html and some kpro stuff http://www.hondata.com/immobilizer.html............................... If you are jacking cars I just gave you a lot of keys to a lot of cars....
Lmao.....Thanks for the info
As you know, auto theft is a felony and get you up to 10 years in jail. I can't do that because I love my life and really enjoy what I do, besides I'm to damn old to be rotting away in some jail....you know the old cliche, "If you can't do the time then don't commit the crime" Also, when I get requests for these type of jobs the customer has to show me proof of ownership or i walk away because I don't need the money bad.
