Default Differences between B18C auto and manual?

Are there any differences between the manual B18C and automatic B18C other than the tranny and ECU? If you were to buy an auto swap, what would you have to do to drop it into a manual tranny 5th gen civic? Would it be as simple as unbolting automatic tranny and bolting up manual tranny and swapping to a manual tranny ecu? I'm not concerned with price, merely the technical details. Thanks in advance.

the only diff is the tranny, ecu, some wiring, tranny cooler, and gear selector.

it's kinda simple, unless your wiring harness is missing any wires to run the auto tranny. shouldnt be tho.

only on OBDII did the auto tranny wiring get placed on it's own plug and harness into the ecu.

Ok...so if I were to purchase a complete AUTOMATIC OBD1 swap, all I would have to do is change to a manual tranny and ECU and the swap would bolt right into my 93 DX manual tranny hatch? Do B18C auto and manual trannies have the same bolt pattern? In other words can you just unbolt the auto and bolt up the manual tranny without any mods, extra pieces, or headaches?

yes, the bellhousing boltpatterns are identical. if not, then people wouldnt be able to do manual tranny swaps.

Just clarifying here.... you have a 93 dx manual, and you want to swap to an auto?

Yes and no. I DO have a 93 DX manual. I am wondering whether I can buy a B18C AUTO swap and simply convert the swap to manual prior to instalation in my car. Its a question of whether you can convert a swap, and if so what is involved, and not convert the car.

cuz engines mated to an autotranny are usually cheaper. you can get a tranny alone for pretty cheap. do the swap, sell the autotranny to someone who needs it.

you end up saving a few hundred bucks in the process if you're patient.

I'm not sure if this applies to the B18C's, but the automatic B16A's had less aggresive cams than their manual counterparts.
