Which H22A should I get??
ok...I have 2 different H22A's to choose from. Both are JDM. One is an H22A from a Prelude Type-S, the other is an H22A from a 2001 Accord Euro-R. Both cars are rated at around 220 hp @ 7200 RPM. Torque is rated at 163 @ 6,500 for the Type-S motor, 163 @ 6,700 for the Euro-R. The biggest difference I can tell is the intake manifold. The Type-S uses the Dual Stage manifold like every other H22A out there and the Euro-R uses a Single Stage that looks like a larger version of an ITR and CTR manifold. From what I heard, they both have LSD trannies. Both are the same price. Anyone know anything else about these motors? Also, which one would you choose? BTW, I'm selling my bling bling H22A4 swap & tranny. 1998 non-SH 5 speed that had about 19K miles when I purchased it and 30K miles now after I've been driving it. See picture below. :naughty:
is the motor still forsale? if so please email me at siachang@aol.com. leave me the price that you are asking. btw whats the difference between the type s and the non type s?
thanks

I'd take the euro-r one. I don't like the dual stage IM. Aswell, I think the gearing is a bit tighter on the Euro-R. Finally, you seem like a ricer, so wouldn't it be cooler to have one out a Euro-R? Everyone's got the Type S motor, but how many have got one out of an Accord Type R? For that guy who asked what the difference was...
I'm a b-series guy so I can't tell you for sure, but the main difference is power. The type-s have 220 bhp, where as the normal H22 (found here in the prelude) only has 200 bhp (prolly due to lower compression, less aggro cams, more restricting manifolds, and lower rev limiter) but like I said, I dunno for sure.

type-s and euro-r are teh asme longblock....hand ported heads, 11:1 compression, more aggressive cams, and then they both have better exhaust manifolds, and then of course the intake manifold on the euro-r...its mostly the headwork that does it thouhg.

Sorry, I take offense to that. When I think of "RICER," I think of altezza taillights and Z3 vents and **** like that. I have to admit that back in my carshow days, my car was pretty ricey. I'm trying to get rid of this engine since I don't do carshows anymore and I no longer need the chrome and polish. I'm trading in the 19 inch racing harts for some 16 inch Volks. I also got rid of the 2-tone interior in exchange for leather and a pair of SRD's. Also got rid of the gay combat wing and pulling off the body kit and going back to the stock, lowered look. Trying to lose that rice rocket image. I know you didn't mean to offend me but I feel that my car isn't as bad as some of those RICERS!!
