Default B16a2??

okay so i bought a jdm b16a2 for my 92 dx hatch and as you all should know the wire harness is set up for right hand drive so the plugs line up on the wrong side.

i was wondering what some of you who have encountered this have done?

i am considering just cutting the harness and extending the wires but i dont know about that its like around 40 some odd wires to lengthen

i was also wondering if the wire harness would work off of any other motor that i could put on there?

i know the del sol vtec one will (same motor duh) but i was thinking like a civic harness that has vtec like the ex wiring harness. what harness i use is all up to what i can find locally and i know i could find and ex harness sooner than a del sol one.

use your DX harness and just add wires as needed - i believe the 92's (only 92) had all the wires for VTEC, etc. already in the chassis harness to the ecu

if you get a 92-95 EX harness, you'll lose knock sensor. only the 1996+ civic harnesses include knock sensor.

i am assuming the B16A2 has knock.

you can do the delslo harness if you want a drop in harness.

just stay away from the 96+ harnesses as the plugs are different and include much more wiring for more sensor equipment.

okay so here is what i did i jerry rigged up some wires

i never had to cut my stock harness all i did was go out to the local salvage yard and and cut off harnesses off of wrecked cars (male and female end) these harnesses came off of 5th gens 6th gens and accords (95 &97) i am connecting theses plugs together and plugging them into the motor harness and the car harness i still have to put the motor in to see if it works but i will update you on that later i am getting rid of power steering so i have to change rack and pinion and also doin auto to manual swap and all of the joys that come with that. wish me luck

oh and we found out that a 95 automatic 4dr ex stock motor harness already has a knock sensor wired in FYI
