HELP! Something blew out in my engine.
Yesterday I was traveling home from school at like 8pm, and like my temp gauge is usually all over the place, nothing ever happened. But all of a sudden the temperature rocketed to the very top of the gauge beyond the "H" for hot! I traveled down the highway for maybe 30sec more like that, then all of a sudden, the car was bogging down, I downshifted to try to accelerate but to no avail. the car just died.
Heres my q, there seemed to be (2) different liquids on the ground belown the engine bay, one looked like oil the other more brown. When I stopped the car smoke was pouring out from the front. There was oil all over the engine bay.
What happened guys? Is this serious? How much is cost going to be? Please I need help so I have an idea before my mechanic might try to BS me.

Your car shut dowm because Honda motors are built to shutdown after a certain temp. The oil is obvious, but the brownish, finer liquid is coolant mixed with oil. You may have blown your head gasket, therefor causing the two substances to mix. It may be another seal or gasket, but that would go first. And now that you may have an idea of the problem, take the head and block to a machine shop to see if your deck is flat and your head is not warped. Good luck
Sorry forgot to mention. this is on my beater Mazda. But it sounds serious from what you guys are saying, is it? I afraid of the price of the fix, or if it can be fixed for somewhat of a "bearable" price. More help would be appreciated thanks.
headgasket blew out. you probably have to redeck the head and block due to possible warpage, replace the headgasket, flush the oil and cooling systems to remove foreign fluids, and you'll be back on the road with an $800 chunk out of your ass.
