Zex. never used them, but i have heard nothing but rave reviews from owners... significant gains on stock motors, and even more gains if you're force-fed or on the bottle

I ported a head for a customer with an 89CRX SI (d16a6)and he used a Crane 251-0012 and liked it a lot.

they're lying. sorry, but the Zex cam will add a bit of power, but it's no going to give a 127hp car more than 33hp in a cam swap alone.

maybe a 92-95 Civic Si HB... but not a 1999-2000 Si. you'll need much more than just a cam.

when people talk about the zex cam, they usually refer to the stage 2 cam not the stage 1.

and yes they can pull easy on a 99-00 si with a stage 2 cam with just i/h/e.

if zex cam stage 2 is soo popular... then how is that compared to the AEM cam? i would think all cam gear are pretty much the same. i want to find a cam gear and cam shaft that is from the same company, since i heard it's not very good to match different cam shaft and gear together.

There is absolutely no problem running a cam from one maker and a gear from another. Think about it this way: The cam gear is meant to replace the stock one, therefore it must fit on the stock cam, and the cam is made to replace the stock one and accept the stock gear, by doing this they should without a problem be able to accept each other. I run a Zex stage 1 and a Skunk2 cam gear and it's perfect.
