b18c headgasket timing adjustment
I just got a spoon headgasket for my JDM B18c motor. Since the motor is now sitting 0.3 lower to the block the timing belt is going to have some extra slack in it. What can I do to time the motor properly with this new thinner headgasket in.
I just got ARP head studs too, any tricks to putting this all back together? Thanks in advance!

I don't see you needing to do anything differently with the thinner h/g. Just be sure that you have a good tensioner and you have the belt on correctly.
As for the studs, just be sure to use some antisieze lube and torque them correctly. I have ARP head studs and I just followed the instructions that came with them... simple.

I don't think it's enough of a difference to worry about the timing.

Agreed. I think for every .010 you take off the cams get retarded like a degree, and you're no where near that with a headgasket. So I think you're safe. If you get mill happy, that's another bag right there.
