"you can get that 300whp daily driven on an internally stock b18c or b18b"

i dont know about that. It would be possible but 300whp would jack your motor eventually. Ive heard that the highest safe boost levels for stock internals on these motors is at about 10psi and its gonna take much more boost to make 300whp

well seeing as that last months SCC had a car with 22 psi daily....on a b18b with a blockguard...stock rods, stock pistons....they mae over 300hp on the dyno with that car. won their class at World Import Challenge in that car last (to be DQ'd for running an 11.8 without a cage)...and I have worked with the owner of the car, the prvious car tuned by her boyfriend was a b18c that made even more power on stock rods and pistons as well. i would refer you to other more techniical sites such as hondavision.com and honda-tech.com and you will find more people who actually own 300whp B series without internal build ups.

I t was releeved with a block guard, thats a lot when you build a motor. You dont just wake up one morning asay," I'm getting my motor releeved today and have it by the weekend." They made that car sound so simple to build and from experience, a GSR cant hold 14 psi for more then a summer. just my .02$

resleeved? no
it has a blockguard....you know the $99 setup that is good to stiffen up the sleeves by tadding a point of contact to the block.
NOT sleeved.
I have been familiar with that car for around a year now, like i said, I did a swap with the girl in the article, and have talekd to and done business with the guy who tuned it....I KNOW its not slap a turbo on and go, its a LOT of tuning time, and having the knowledge to do that is something that takes time and experience.
I believe that i know a little more about sleeving than you give me credit for. I currently am building an h22a4 for high horsepower....the block is near finished, and it only has taken 2 months and over $2000 to prep the way it should be.

what did they do to the motor, to make 300 hp with stock internals? (other than block guard)

turbo grind cams, hondata 4b, larger injectors, LOTS of dyno time...of course a big turbo
the key is the tuning though. i know of two other cars that the tuner did previously....a b18c powered civic that was able to break into 10s on race gas with a similar setup....and he just recently did a turbo type-r engine in a civic as well....he is a very talented guy.

hmotorsonline and osaka don't sell built up engines, they sell used engines.

Import builders has the best set ups, they are pricey but are definitely worth it if you want a true worry free motor under boost.Plus do the math the cost are really not that bad considering that on top of the parts your getting a expertly built motor.
