Default Spoon, Mugen,KS Rom chips.........anyone?

I am doing an H22a4 swap in my 94 Accod and bought a JDM P13 ecu. I am going to have to have it rechipped to remove the speed limiter that it has. I saw on ebay that they have Spoon, Mugen and KS Rom chips for sale. I also went to their feedback and emailed some of the buyers to see if they were happy with the results and quality. They all seemd happy and impressed with them. Have any of you had this done or know of anyone who has? I really need to get some info. Thanks.

the chips can be beneficial but i dont beleive they produce much power. just change your powerband or the way it feels if that makes sense. dont bother spending more then 6-70 bucks on it. to me it would be a waste. i played around witht he mugen, skunk2 and vision chip..there was a difference but nothing major..

Either get your car tuned or don't get a chip. The "Spoon" and "Mugen" chips are both designed for race vehicles, will destroy your fuel economy, and disable many of your car's sensors.

Not to mention the clones on ebay, who knows where they got the A/F maps, vtec engagement points,etc..That place is a total scammers paradise. The mods you mentioned are not going to make up for it,they are designed for endurance race engine's like the ones in Japan. Not to much is left that could be called OEM,as we know it.

What would you suggest? Hondata or something?................I really just would like the speed limiter removed and maybe bump up the rev limiter.

actually most likely the engines these chips were deisgned for were more OEM than what we know. the majority of these are probably copies of programs used for N1 endurance or for gymkana. N1 does not allow serious modifcations and most of the changes done are in balancing and blue printing along with ecu rom tunning.

Also for the mod listed a chip is not suitable. your best bet is to go with hondata in my opinion.
