Spoon, Mugen,KS Rom chips.........anyone?
Ok, Yea right !
We have 3 chips designed for Street use for JDM 93-95 P13 ECU:
1) Spoon chip 5000 vtec 8500 rev limit no speed limit. Good power (don't expect too much out of these ready made chip 5 to 10HP r very common)
2) Spoon Varaint 1 chip 5000 vtec 9000 rev limit no speed limit. better performance
3) KS ROM 5000 vtec 9000 rev limit. Plain stock Fuel and Timing maps.
P13 ECU coding use a very different opcode from P28 or P30 ECUs. Ask Hondata, they stay away from reprogramming this Odd ball and suggest u use their P28/P30 ECU.

sell it and get at least a P72 ecu if you need the IAB control. the P13 is crap except for stock applications.
also, if you heed all of our advice and go the P72 or P28 route, hit me up with a PM if you want to get rid of your current ECU. i swapped an H22 into my Accord and need a P13 ecu to drive it. also, i have P28 ecu's already chipped and ready to go if you're interested.

If you already have P28's then why arent you using one of those in your Accord? You said you need it to drive your car, I am putting it in my Accord..........wont I need it then?

cuz i need a smog legal solution. the only solution is to use the stock ecu, of which is a P13 for the motor in my Accord.
i'm moving to Seattle in the coming months, and both of my cars are undergoing conversion back to smog legal status as WA has smog restrictions based on CARB.
so the P28 is a better ECU for my H22a4? If so why is that? I dont know thats why I am asking.............I want whatever will give me the most gains and performance.

it depends. by far and away, the P72 is the best bet for an H22A since it has the ability to control the IAB and has knock sensor monitoring.
the P28 has neither, but they're cheaper and still just as programmable. for a racing application, the P28 is great since it doesnt have the knock and IAB controls.
if you plan on modifying your motor with a single runner intake manifold, the P28 is the way to go as you wont get a check engine light with it as you would the stock ecu or the P72... they both need IAB input from a dual runner manifold.
the P13 on the other hand is just not as controllable from chipping. it lacks some of the expanded maps available on the P28 and P72 ecu's.
this is why you see a lot of chipped P72's and P28's on the market, but very few P13's chipped or chips for them.
