First you'd want to make sure that it is the one you want, since the other d15b's are 70 and 90 hp.Personally I don't see why anyone even wants that POS,if it came stock in US vehicles, people would swap it just as fast as they do the D16Z6 which is better to get anyway. You can find one for next to nothing and the guess work about internals would be eliminated.

make sure you know what one it is, cause the only one worth getting is the 125 hp one with 3 stage vtec.
as far as what wiring...you just use the harness you already have....internals i assume would be the same as a d15b7 or other non vtec sohc d15.

This may be a little late on this post, but I'm new here

Okay, the JDM d15b (most people mean the 130ps versions and variations) this is a 127.7hp motor, and weighs very little compared to the dual cam motors, and there were two versions to consider in this power range, the OBD1 JDM d15b regular vtec and the OBD2 JDM d15b 3-stage vtec, the 3-stage vtec is nice because it has power and fuel economy, however, it is very hard to wire that pair of vtec solenoids with vtec controllers, your best off with the ECU, if your like me, you are not concerned with economy so the OBD1 will work out fine for most applications.

Either way, both of these d15b vtec motors are the same power, the 3-stage one would just be better for long trips and daily driving.

Only in CRXs and weight-reduced hatchs please. This is an anemic motor, I'd take a B18B over this any day.
