Default B18C1 or H22A???

Hey everyone hows it going? I have a quick question, approx. how much does the B18C1 weigh and how much does the H22A weigh? I originally wanted to put a GSR motor in my 95 Civic DX(hencefore my screen name and what I have down below) but I keep having a change of heart. If the H22 isnt that heavy, I want to put that in my Civic and go all motor. But if that doesnt work out, I will do a GSR swap and go forced induction. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think all told a H22 swap is around 75 pounds heavier.

a gsr with forced induction will outperform an all motor h22a.

That's 75lbs more added to the front of the car, which will change your handling characteristics.

yeah so instead of being 69/31 wieght it will be like 75/25, the car will be nose heavy and need a better suspension setup in the front.

to do the h22 swap you will most likely need to upgrade the suspension like lueb said..... the h22's are really only fit for the bigger cars like the preludes and accords.... I have seen people break a few axles with h22's in their civics so that is something to think about..... the upside is you will have a fast car just putting the h22 in there STOCK, the downside is it may only be fast in a straight line because the handling and everything else will get thrown out of proportion with the added weight. IMO for a civic the b18c1 is a better swap because not only will it fit better into your car, the motor itself has more potential than an h22 if you were going to mod it, and you could drive it daily without having to worry about the suspension and stuff....... dont get me wrong, the h22 is a great motor, just depends on which one YOU want in your car, both have ups and downs........

to be honest I'd go with a prelude motor if you arn't planning to use a turbo, but you said you were prolly going to go with a turbo, so I'd go with that.

actaully b18c1 will be best overall
but for turbo i'd go b18b, it'll be easier and cheaper
