Default Help AEM O2 Sensor question

Whats up peoples,

My 02 sensor came loose on the car. I noticed this cause the 02 wouldnt read anything and just go full lean. after a day or two I ended up tightening it up, and it seemed to fix it. But now its taking longer to warm up and still reads full lean for a few minutes, then it begins to work and read the air/fuel mixture. my question is, does the o2 need to be calibrated or something since it came into contact with regular air? Or is this the first signs that the o2 is going bad?

If it's not a wide band it's probably a 4 wire. It's taking longer because the heater circuit isn't working properly. Check the ECM for codes OR(on a factory O2 sensor) probe the two BLACK wires for +12vdc(DO NOT PROBE THE WHITE AND GREEN ONES UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE DOING-THIS WILL DAMAGE THE SENSOR). The O2 sensor actually makes its own signal voltage from a chemical reaction in the sensor. If it's a 2 wire, replace the sensor. Hope this helps.
