What would you do?
Alright....my delimma.
I just bought an 88' CRX Si. I already have a 91'LS Integra. The integra is an automatic. I have planned to swap the b18a into the crx with a y1 with lsd. Also swap the brakes and suspension from the integra to the crx.
Some people tell me to buy a b20 and drop that into the crx and sell the integra for motor building cash.
So i was wondering....if you had this choice....what would you do.....i need some input before hacking up my beloved teggy.
THanks
Chris

heh....yeah...everybody wants one of those d16 integras.
See....all my friends are telling me to ditch the teggy too..but theres alot wrong with it. The rack and pinion is going bad, its needs a power steering pump, etc., etc. Basically 200,000 miles kinda stuff. So its going to be hard to sell for what i want...which is atleast 2k. The motor is in good shape though...fresh top-end with stainless valves, b18b cams, new UR crank pully, new timing belt tensioner, water pump, alternator, ported head w/match ported intake manifold and other little stuff. Thats why i wanted to swap the motor in to the crx....cause its almost all new.
What about building the d16 or maybe the mini-me swap. Grrr....there are just too many options.
thanks for the advice guys.
Thanks
Chris

ditch the integra, buy a b16, build it up, boost it up and then put it in the crx. but that's me. i find the 8k redline more enjoyable than the 6xxx on the non vtec motors.

Thats exactly why I'm so reluctant to get rid of it. The DA chassis is one of my favorites, but its an automatic. Ive done alot to this car, mostly under the hood, and i like it but im serouisly disappointed with its performance.
A long time friend let me drive his crx si when it was still stock.....it walked my integra. He did the mini me swap and we raced again. I get him just after i bust 90. Garbage auto-tragic transmission.
Anyhow....the d16 in the rex runs....just has busted tranny and minor stuff like cv axles. Someone told me today to build the bottom end of the b18a and turbo it. Sounds much faster than my teg i tell ya that.
