haha I want some air vermsta jk, I agree with you..... but..... couldnt you suspect something would be up for the obvious low price of them or did you just want to see if it was for real? I agree that ebay should do something about it, it makes their business look bad but the problem is , they really have no reason to care... You didnt really get ripped off too bad for under 10 dollars...... which is worse, that? or a huge performance company putting out myths that their headers or exhausts add more power than they do? and on those type of parts you spend a lot more money.....

there are two types of horsepower - REAL horsepower and MENTAL horsepower.

Those performance chips...the classic "15-25 hp just from this muffler!" and the truly immortal Electric Turbo all fall under Mental HP.

That's the same as taking a Civic DX, adding Eclipse "Spyder" badging, along with lots of "DOHC VTEC" stickers and "NOS" stickers, adding the wiper fluid nozzle LEDs, getting flashy wheel covers, and a $20 "Type R" shift knob on eBay without connecting the 12v... mental horsepower = 30,000 at the wheels. Real horsepower? zilch.
Hey, what makes you -feel- fast, right? lol

I know a few tuners who could use a little more "mental horsepower" (if you catch my drift).

Yeah I know i'm a sucker, but one reason i did purchase this was because I wasn't worried about flushing money because it was only 10 bucks and I was curious to see what it was all about. It did however give me an idea, and honeslty I think it would work, with the proper reasearch. For one I know that if you rig your air temp sensor to be on max performance it won't set a code, it's just where do you want that voltage reading sent back to the ecm to be so you can gain the performance, also how much will it advance the timing and how much more fuel is it going to send, so you can compensate for that. Basically here's the deal, companies like AEM and VENOM and so on make a huge profit off us because of their name. If we can educate the real tuners we'll have no need to spend 200 bucks on something that we can make ourselves for 30. But hey that's why were all here on this board to educate each other and learn more. By the way if anyone really knows the role of an air temp sensor we can really figure out how to tune a car on our own so please share with us.
(I know it's a pawn but sometimes pawns win the game in the end)
