racing tranny
hey all
i am new to the boards and me and my older brother are building up a drag honda with my dad...and i was wondering who sells some transmissions....the motor is right around 600hp so if someone could lemme know of a company or website that i could go to to find a good tranny i would appreciate it. ohh and also would we need to upgrade anything else to handle the HP?
thanks alot
Drew

with that much hp to the ground i'd start looking at new axles as well. as for trannys, not too many companys make aftermarket trannys for hondas. unless you want a full custom setup which means a lot more $$$, you'll have to stick with reinforcing a stock tranny.
oh and welcome. :wavey:

You can get your tranny internals cryo-treated which should help beef them up, and then you could run a drag spool, since it'll be a drag-only car, and then run some beefier axles like the Driveshaft Shop ones.

Also, as reinforcement, I've heard nothing but good things about Driveshaft Shop, both about their products and their customer service.

Don't forget to get some beefy drive hubs or cryo treat your current ones too.
