hey inspyral...when you say drag spool what do you mean...i havent heard that term used before sorry. you mean like a specific tranny or what. where can i get it?

http://www.prodriveusa.com/products.html

It replaces your stock open diff and gives you an even 50/50 power distribution between the drive wheels. They're also lighter.

I had heard of a company a while back supposedly coming out with a race tranny for honda/acura, but it was going to be around 5 grand i think. Their website never worked though, and I don't remember the name of the company.

Well... looking at their racing and success record in WRC and other series... I'd venture a guess and say that anything they do they're either good at or get good at very quickly.

Kind of odd that they share the name, and there's no mention of US offices on the prodrive site. I guess I just did the dangerous thing [assumed something] since I know prodrive, though based in the UK, does quite a bit in this country as well... :dunno:

Don't expect to TURN with that in your transmission

He's building a drag car, it doesn't need to turn.

The drag spool distributes power equally between the drive wheels, which means that they always spin at the same velocity. If you're making a turn, the inside wheel usually spins slower than the outside wheel.
