Default vtec switches and solinoids same?

I need a pressure switch and solinoid for my 94 gsr head. Iwas told before that they are all the same but have some doughts. My buddy has a 97-98 sohc vtec, and was wonder if they would work. It does't seem like they would but I could be wrong.

any help would be great and Thanks in advance

The pressure switch and solenoid are two different things.

Check out this site: www.acuraautomotiveparts.net

While you browse through the catalog, the parts you need will be in the "CYLINDER HEAD" category.

VTEC Solenoid is pn# 25808, description is "SOLENOID ASSY." $107.63.

VTEC Pressure switch is pn# 26487, description is "SWITCH ASSY." $41.72.
