Default still need help with a CEL...

sorry for the repost but i decided to start a new thread with more details...

Hey, I posted a week or two ago about a check engine light that I suddently got. Well I got a code 141 which has to do with the primary o2 sensor's heater circuit malfunction. A few sources said that I would be able to replace my o2 sensor and the problem would be fixed. I bought an OEM Honda o2 sensor and got it replaced about a week ago. The CEL went away and all was well for that period. However, yesterday the light came back on and it's been really frustrating as to wether or not I wasted $250 or so on a new o2 sensor if something else could have fixed it. Well my question is if the heater circuit is located in the o2 sensor or outside of it. What can I do to fix this sort of malfunction? Btw, my car is a 96 Prelude VTEC with about 57K miles on it.

Did you get the code again? its the same one as before? and what are you pulling the code with? I dont believe 141 is a honda DTC could you possibly mean p0141?

The heater circuit for a heated o2 sensor is inside the sensor itself. There should be four wires going into the sensor. 2 for the sensor and 2 for the heater.

Yes, I got the code again and sorry I wasn't as clear in my first post. I pulled the code at Autozone since it's free and I didn't want to bother jumping the ECU and counting the number of flashes to pull a code. Yes it was the P0141 code that you mentioned and I'm confused to as why it came up again since I had my o2 sensor replaced with an OEM Honda part. Any ideas why? Thanks for the quick reply.

No, I was talking about the o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold before the cat. Oh yeah, one more question, I was always told it was my primary o2 sensor (before the cat) that had the heater circuit malfunction but apprently I found a thread that said it could possible be the secondary o2 sensor (after the cat). Anyone with a Helms that can check?

P0137;(63)-secondary heated o2 sensor circuit low voltage.
P0138;(63)-secondary heated o2 sensor circuit high voltage.
P0141;(65)-secondary heated o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction

i was just asking cuz,i have a 95 integra gsr,and im throwing a code 41.which is the oxygen sensor heater, and im trying to figure out what the problem is.i was thinking of replacing my o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold,so i was going to see if that is the one you replaced, cuz it sounds like we are both having the same problem.

Yup, it's a 96 and it's OBDII. Seems like I have another problem now. Well I got the primary sensor replaced because that's what I was told the code 41 was but apparently I guess it's the second sensor after the cat? I'm not a 100% sure but maybe you could check and see if the code 41 is meant for the primary or secondary sensor?? It wouldn't be such a big problem considering my dad found the box where I put my old o2 sensor and he decided to throw it away. It could have been as easy as putting the old one back and moving the new sensor after the cat. Oh yeah btw I was wondering if it was the secondary sensor that had to be replaced, why would my CEL be off for about a week or so considering everytime I reset it, it would come back on in a matter of minutes?

I just went back to Autozone yesterday and I was still pulling a code 41. I'm just confused because I get contradicting information. The Autozone computer said it was the "primary o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction" but some websites say it's the second?
