Default swap a D16Y7 with ?

99 civic lx auto non-vtec, timing belt gave out and I think you motor is useless. Trying to find out if it is easier to fix or replace it.

If I'm better off replacing it, which motor will be the easiest to install?

Is a v-tec just as easy?

Thanks

Well if the timing belt went out it would be way easier to replace the belt than the motor. As far as V-Tec is concerned you would be talking about replacing the ECU and the motor and would cost way more than just a timing belt. Although if you do the timing belt youshould also do the water pump because its underneath the belt and you should just replace it while you have it off.
