Default Throttle Body Compatability??

I need a new TB for my 97 civic ex sohc motor. I dont want a stock TB, I want one bigger since I have to replace it anyways. Will a B series TB bolt on to my manifold?

Yeah a b series TB will work but really what's the point unless you're going to get it for the same price.

GSR tb is 5-7mm larger than a Y8 tb.
PS, I have a Y8 tb for sale(check sig)

Uh, no. Induvidual throttle bodies bolt to the head, basically replacing the intake manifold. Some B series intake manifolds don't even interchange with other B series IM's, let alone D series ones. Most D series intake manifolds use 7 studs/nuts, while B series IM's use 10, if I remember correctly. The discussion in this thread pertains to "single" throttle bodies bolted in the stock location. OEM and aftermarket B series throttle bodies that bolt in the stock location will bolt up to a D series intake manifold. Beyond that, you need to match the OBD generation in order to make sure you'll have the right vac ports, sensor locations, etc. You may also need to swap your D series throttle rotor onto the B series TB.

Yes, but the GSR throttle rotor is different from the B16 and ITR ones. You'll most likely have to swap your throttle rotor over.

I do know the GSR intake manifold wont fit on a SI,CTR, or ITR head. But the TB's have the same bolt pattern. If your gonna spend the $$ to get the GSR TB why not just get an ITR/CTR, Edlebrock, Venom, etc. What other mods do you have done to your car, cause if you dont have all that much done, its not really gonna make that big of a diff. to put a huge TB on it.
