Headwork question!!
Hey.. im running a b17a w/b16a intake/exhaust manifolds in my 97 civic hatch. I happen to have a b16 head laying around and am considering either sending it out for headwork or sending it in as a core and getting a built head. My question is what kinda power gains can i expect to get when i put this on my b17a? I have i/h/e plus stage3clutch and lightweight fly.. Also how much can i expect to spend? Thanx
Oh no...yall misunderstood. When i say headwork i mean i wanna spend around $1000-1500 and get everything.. That with a chipped ecu and higher revlimiter should yeild more than 10hp i would think. What do yall think this would give me with the mods i said previously? Thanks
My buddy sent his H22 head off to JG and I swear that angels came down from heaven and sang their sweet sweet song when he opened that box. That was the most beautiful display of perfection and craftsmanship I have ever seen. A battery blew up all over the head that he sent in and they replaced it with a perfect one. I HIGHLY recommed them if you're serious about getting work done.
Import heads usually see around 10 - 15 horsepower from the head that wouldn't be there with a stock head. Honda heads are pretty good already, but that doesn't mean you can't make a good thing better.
