I was wondering if it was worth it to go for a h23 into my 96 honda civic dx? how much would an h23 cost me and how much for install probrably? Also i heard the h22 brakes axles which is the reason i am thinkin about the h23 i dont need my car to be rediculously fast just mid to low 14's would suffice for me. Please let me know if i can pull it off and what not thanks alot
the H23 is great. The H23 would be the ideal engine to go with if your planning on adding a turbo. i think the H23 runs about 2000 used and the H22 runs about 2700 used depending on where you get it from. in a light civic the H22 or H23 would definatley get you where you wanna be. high 14's. and with a few modifications you'l be in the low to mid 14 range. thats just my estimates tho. the swap is ridiculously expensive but it is somehwat costly. i say go for the H23.
for the times your gona run with an h22a..asnd the price your going to spend..you might as well get a b18c-r..the rpice will be nearly the same and youll run the same times if not faster..

yeah motor to motor cost is differnt.. he still has to get 4-600 bolt in kit.. new axles... lude/accord cable shifter... and also your gona wana spend the extra moneya nd get the lsd cause its prolly gona be even more prone to breaking axles without it....the main reason for people braking axles is usually having it way to low and the axles binding... now with that all said.. ill bet anyhting youll be lucky to get into the 13's with a lude motor. has it been done, yes.... its not very common though..
