NO SH*T!!!! I just saw one BIG ASS SNAIL on der for $1000, but the fawkin thing is HUGE! I think that the BIG one, T3/60-1 has my name ALL over it! Its like $650! Has a huge ass compressor and a small exaust?spool side? Ya know... The side that the exaust goes through, ya that looked small! Thats good right?
The T3/60-1 is a popular upgrade for people with T3/T04's, but it's not for everyone. You shouldn't get it just because it's "huge." You have to be moving enough air to spool it. A typical 1.8L B series will not make usable boost below 3k RPM with a T3/60-1. It'll take a while for it to spool, but it'll hit harder when it reaches full boost up top. You can run a T3/60-1 on the street, but don't expect a quick spool. If you can live with that, then it's capable of a lot of power. It's really more suited for top-end power and 1/4 mile performance. For the street, a T3/T04E should be more than adequate, and still have a good amount of top end power. You might even want to go smaller, with like a straight T3 super 60.
Hmmm... You have been verry helpfull, and have been the ying to my raging yang! Keep talkin!
So the T3/60-1 is capable of hiting full power at what? And it starts to kick in at 3k? I will most likly be usin a B16A1....

OK so Im gonna order the "recomended" turbo for the class of motor I dont have yet!
Im gonna go with the:
60 TRIM or 57 TRIM
.60 A/R or .57 A/R COMPRESSOR
STAGE3 WHEEL
.48 A/R TURBINE
RECOMMENDED BETWEEN 1400cc'S TO 1700cc's(1.4L TO 1.7L)
SPECIFY COMPRESSOR SIZING WHEN ORDERING
complete turbocharger
GAR1Normal price: $849.00OUR price: $549.00
ADD: BALL BEARING UPGRADE $550.00
ADD: POLISHED COMPRESSOR HOUSING $95.00
Which sould come out to $1200
h:
What size compressor size should I go with? (sorry to bug but Im kinda a newb at this :ugh: ) I just bought a honda civic hatchback and Im realy into import cars! I been reading SUPER STREET-HONDA TUNING-IMPORT TUNER and so on for about a three years.... I got a stack of magaziens thats taller than I am! Anyway I got inspired when I went to the movies one night and saw "THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS" IM NOT A HESHER! I actualy thought the movie was kinda GAY (as in, no fawkin plot) But I was realy digin the cars! I was like "fawk that old chevy I wanted to buy! It dont look that great!" So I got my hatch! Its been a real b*tch workin on this thing! I swaped a 91CRX SI motor in it my frend gave me when he swaped his B16A, Im am sick of this crap motor!
Sorry for the book!

What engine are you planning on putting this on? If it's a D16, the T3/T04E is going to be a bit laggy, but the .48 turbine and 57 trim compressor shouldn't be too bad. If you can find a .48 turbine and 50 trim compressor, that'd be a little better for a D16. If it's going on a B16, the .48 turbine/57 trim should be alright, but you might still want to go a little smaller. As for the ball-bearing upgrade, it costs more than the actual turbo does, so you have to ask yourself if you think it's worth the cost. Yes, it spins more freely than the traditional thrust bearing, but the cost is somewhat off-putting. If you have two turbos that are otherwise identical, except that one is ball-bearing, the ball-bearing turbo is only going to spool maybe 500rpm faster than the non-bb turbo. Is that worth doubling the price of the turbo to you? As for the polished compressor housing, that's purely cosmetic, obviously, but you can also achieve similar results polishing it yourself. Of course, if you don't want to go thru the trouble of working it with a polishing wheel, then it might be worth it to get a polished housing. In the end, it's your call, but I don't think the b-b upgrade is really necessary, and I could do without a polished compressor, but tha's just me.
Hmmm...... Well it will be for a B16A1 A1? you know the non obd JDM motors. Im gonna get from www.importbuilders.com Thats why I was askin bout the C/R pistons
it says it comes with three dif ones you can chose from. But I was thinkin maybe havin some turbo pistons and iron sleaves. I want to keep the total cost under $10K for the install. I can do the install my damn self so that can save me skrill! Im just tryin to get the best bang for my buck
So I'm up to $5500 for the motor. But its so fresh and so clean! Any way I need to build a REALISTIC budget plan for myself so that by summer I can do this
I pull about $20,000-$25,000 a year (after taxes) after bills and sh*t prbably 10-15, So IF I save my ass I should be able to hit the $10K mark by summer.
So what I need to do is figure out what I can do with another 5K or so to make this think whoop some ass!
I was thinkin turbo+intercooler+turbo cams+3" exaust+nitrus
Think I can do that for 5K?
Also the T3super60 tubo on that site says its internaly wastegated? Is that good? I meen wont an aftermarket wastegate do the same thing or better?

First of all you don't need to act like you're screaming. Over-use of smilies and ending every sentence with an exclamation point makes you look illiterate. Just type in plain old English. Secondly, I am Jewish and find your comment most offensive. Fuck you.
Now back to the topic.
I don't see the point of spending $5500 on a rebuilt B16 swap from importbuilders. Get the driveline out of a '90-'91 Integra from a junkyard, resleeve it and install some forged rods and pistons. That will still probably be less than $5500 and hold a lot more boost than a basically-stock B16. Run from 12 to 15 psi from a T3/TO4E .48 Stage 2 / 57 trim (Stage 3 kills spooling too much) and you'll put down around 190 to 220 hp while maintaining good torque off boost.
Most of the manifolds available out there have a flange for an external wastegate, you would have to plug it if you use a turbo with a built in wastegate. Not a major issue to be sure, but worth mentioning.
Once you get the basic kit assembled (manifold, turbo, wastegate, pipes, i/c, bov) you'll need to tune the thing. For non-OBD the ZDyne ECU is the way to go, similar to a Hondata or AEM EMS except it's obviously for non-OBD cars. You'll need to upgrade your fuel pump and fuel injectors accordingly.

Nvm..... The $800 one I was talkin bout had ceramic berings
