Anyone know what it would take, or if it would even work for that matter, to put a SOHC Vtec head on a D16Y7 out of a Civic DX?

most of the D series bottom end are the same more or less....so the heads will pretty much all swap as well.

I figured as much, but what would it take to make the V-tec work? Would I need an EX/Si ECU, harness, ect.? :awais:

Does anyone sell a kit for this? Or do I have to mill around in a junkyard?

Im kinda broke right now after my srereo.... Look at the bottom of my post. And im still tossing ideas around. I wana do it right. I may go with a B16, a B18, or maybe mod the fawq out the d16a6. I dont even know if I want to go Forced Induction or ALL MOTOR! Just about the only thing I DO know is, I want to make sicko WHP in my 90 dx and I want a 50-75 fogger nos kit. Thats as far as I can think right now.... All I can do is finish the stereo and start saving again bummed out! I got 5G's in my stereo and im begining to wish I had started with the motor

Yea... No crap, I just wish I had bought a sick ass B16A from importbuilders instead..... Oh well thats next I guess. But it sure is nice to decimate peoples 1000 watt systems with my 500 watt I got 1 12" w6v2, hooked up to a 500/1 as you can see under my post's. I keep tellin people, its not about how many watts you have. Its all about how efficiantly you can use them. JL has done an amazing job with the efficiancy of there amps and subs... go to www.jlaudio.com and take a peek, look at the 500/1 you will be amazed!
