engine help
Ok here is the prob that has been pissing me off for a while now. When ever I turn on my car now, the freaking idle is constantly jumping up and down you can littery see my engine jump. It looks as if it was choking some how. Now what I though was that I hada a vacum leak somewhere. Well I have covered all those ground now and still. I have the prob. Then I though maybe my exshaut was the prob but that is very minor and it had never happen until I basic put on my intake. Now that I really look at it, this had all happend when I put on my intake. Now let me ask yu guys something.
I took my friends old intake from his 94 prelude and put it in my 96 accord could that be the prob maybe, but from the looks of it they are identical shapes when it came to tinstalling them. I dont know I am running out of things here. My last resort is to bring it to the honda dealership and pay lots of money for something that is a stupid mistake you know. Can someone please help me I am on my hands and knees here crying. I dont want my baby to cry anymore.

To get air out of your coolant, simply run the car(parked, in neutral) with the radiator cap on loosely with the heater blasting full-hot until the radiator fan comes on. Shut the car off and check your coolant level. If it went down, refill it and repeat the process. Put the cap on tight when you're done.
The IACV is on the back of the intake manifold and uses coolant temperature to control the idle speed. It idles the engine faster when the coolant is cold in order to help the engine warm up faster. If you get all the air out of your coolant, and you're sure you don't have any vac leaks, and you still experience a pulsing idle, the IACV is probably toast. Used IACV's can be had for $50-60, but I'm not sure as to your application, since I'm mainly familiar with Civics and Integras. All OBD-II Civics and Integras have interchangable IACV's, so that may also apply to Accords, but you'll have to doublecheck. The IACV is held on by two bolts with 12mm heads and has two coolant lines running to it.
