Default integra tps sensor

does anyone kno how i can check and see if my tps sensor is bad? because my engine doesn't go past 3000rpm it would just sit there as if i had 2 step... i went to a shop and some guy said it was my tps sensor.. but i wanted to hear feedback from other people who would have an idea what is wrong, thankss

It isn't necessarily your TPS. The engine is in limp mode and that could be caused by several things. The first step I would take is to check the CEL using the information here.

If it does turn out to be the TPS, here are the procedures to troubleshoot:
