Default FINALLY ready for turbo!

Gad Dam! I think this took me WAAAY too long to round everything up! I started in April, 2 days after my birthday with this one and I just hope this install attempt goes nicely. I ended up with the following:

Garrett T3/T4 Hybrid (Rebuilt)
Blox Racing DRAG T3 Manifold
Blox Racing Intake Manifold
HKS Sequential BOV
Turbosmart Ultra-Gate (38mm)
Turbosmart Manual Boost Controller
EZR (Ebay) Downpipe w/ braided flex section
RC Engineering 440cc Injectors
Phearable.net CROME Tuned OBD1 ECU
Skunk2 OBD2 to OBD1 Conversion Harness
GReddy FMIC
Ebay Charge Pipe set (not bad, rolled lips!)
Ebay 39" T3 Braided Oil Feed Line w/ "T" fitting
Oil Drain Line from Carquest parts, lol
Glowshift Oil Pressure Gauge
Glowshift Boost Gauge
3" Airfilter

I think that's all of it, but since it's FINALLY all here and compatible (it better be!) I think it's time to do up the install! Shouldn't take me too long at all, I already installed the Intake, FMIC, Charge Pipe, Gauges, Injectors and ECU. We'll see how it goes fellas, I'm looking forward to it!

Looks pretty solid.

I would recommend against the HKS BOV. The new ones don't have an adjustment screw, so it will surge at anything less than 5 psi. Tial or Greddy are better choices, IMO.

Also, the ECU isn't tuned...it is a basemap, so hopefully you will treat it as such and take it easy on the car until it is properly tuned.

Yeah I know it's just a basemap, I'll probably only drive it like that for a week or so, until I can get down to the valley and take it to RevTech. It's been in the car for about 2 months.

Really against the HKS BOV, huh...What do you mean by "surge" , like it's not a flowing pressure release and it kinda puffs it out, thus it surges?

Compressor surge is what happens when the throttle plate closes and causes a shock wave that travels back to the compressor wheel violently shoving it back and forth against the thrust bearings. Run the car without a BOV and you'll know exactly what I mean.

The valve just doesn't open quickly enough at low boost to relieve the pressure.

He has first hand experience as i Do with that BOV, cause that is the one i had on my car, and we helped each other build up our turbo set ups. my car with the HKS BOV always surged. i would highly recommend on another BOV. like the ones stated above. best of luck! and baby it till u get that sucker tuned!

Good luck with the install!

Like where I mounted my gauges? I think it's pretty sweet, now I just gotta move my cruise switch and dash light dimmer and I'll be set! Only took about an hour total.

Looks decent, what are you gonna do with the dimmer & cruise switch now?

I'm moving them down underneath the dash, kind of over by the fuse box. Either that or remount them under my CD player.

Not too shabby. I would only put the not-so-important gauges down there since they are hard to see. The important ones should be in a bezel or pod where they can be seen easier.
