We have a place in my town where they all they sell is different shapes and sizes of different metals... there's a scrapyard too, is there anywhere like that around your area?

the advantage is that I can weld my own manifold, and not have to spend 400-500 bucks on a manifold

If you're making your own equal-length manifold, spend some extra bucks and get yourself a merge collector:
