Default K20 to 92DA

Okay, well I have come across a chance to upgrade very soon.. My nxt door neighbor has/had a I believe 00, or 02 Civic SI hatch (the first of the last) which has a 5sp K20 Vtec, I think SOHC. Well anyways, He had a blow out which sent him in circles and rear end into a barrier, needless to say.. it is out of commission. Now this motor is at 91k, But virgin. he is the 2nd owner, and it has never been abused or raced.

I offered to him, 2.5k for: K20 91k +Tranny, Red SI seats, and 99 Civic SI rims.

He said OKAY - Now, what I want to know is.. Is it worth it ?

I currently have a 92 RS integra, and It is automatic. I was planning on keeping itthat way untill I heard this news..

So any advise would be great, should I do this, or jus keep saving towards my main dream (4D, 90 - 93 DA - Type R, or 6Sp K20 swap).. ?

to me it's not worth it. the k20a3 from the si's suck. it's vtec is more like vtec-e, more fuel efficiency minded than performance.

Correct me if I am wrong, Which I probably am.. But if I go ITR in my 92 DA, That would be a waste of money due to: 1. Motor doesnt make much power with JUST basic bolt ons w/o tuning.

2. a GSR would be better if I am looking for a n/a project.

3. k20 in question sucks..

In all honesty, my project is a 90 - 93 4dr teg. I plan on only dropping it, rims, and headlights.. Everything else aside from the motor, will remain stock.

Best bet for my buck and idea is: ???

Negative, the ITR responds great to bolt ons. It is more n/a oriented.

Negaitve, the GSR would probably your best bet if you were to do some major work, i.e. turbo, supercharger...etc. If your planning to go n/a then the ITR is your best bet

I'll let someone else chime in on that one.
