Default Which way to build for turbo

Waz up all. I need some advise on which motor to build. I have a 91 ls b18b/93 ls b18b1/and 91 b16a gen1 motor. All are complete, but all need work to.When done it will sit in 90 ls hatch body. The car came with the b16a in it. All the wireing was done and it was driveable, but the motor knocked bad so I pulled it out, and it was HURT, it needs crank/rods/pistons/and bearings. The b18b has a spun bearing and the b18b1 has a bad crank.
Now when one motro gets done I want to put my Garrett tb410s turbo in. So what motor is best suited for turbo.Plus keeping the b16 means no wires to play with now, while doing the b18 means wireing.I found a Eagle stroker kit for the b16 for $900 Would it make sence to just build the b16a or is the b18 going to be better? I was told ls/vtec dont like turbo without lots of building,is that true? I want big hp so im thinking the b16 is the way to go.All imput is welcome.Thank guys, this forum kick ass.

"i want big hp so im thinking the b16 is the way to go"

Wrong.

if you are looking for big hp, sell all of those motors and get a b18c.

 Not willing to get another motor. Just want to build one of these right, and push it as hard as i can. Just dont know whitch is more dependable, and capable of the most. Dont want to spend much more then 1200 on the motor, that dont include the turbo setup.Im not looking for top end i just want to stand on it when i need to, and beat the stang next to me with the Hondahater

what would that 1200 include? cause that's not getting you a whole lot of anything.

Found an Eagle stroker kit for 1500 with balanced crank pisons and rods for the b16. Would this help alot or no.I dont even need to go nuts in the motor now i can wait few months for more money if i have to. Also thinking for now put oem back in but will it hold atleast 300hp for now. If it will i can wait this way i can put like 2500-3000 in it in couple months, maybe winter project.

you need to determine a power goal first.

stock, healthy b16's can handle 300-350whp
stock, healthy b18a/b's can handle 250-300whp

you dont have to go crazy to make big numbers. simple rods and pistons are more than enough for most people not looking to make over 400whp. assuming the rest of the setup is up to par.

you also have to factor in machine shop costs when it comes to things like this.

rebuilt my motor after busting a land and now on 7 psi it pulls hella harder than before on 7 psi. 15 psi its stupid. and thats with a small turbo. before 8 psi was 230 and 225 tq it feels way better now. so rods and pistons are worth the 600-1000 for the power. oh i have turbo cams too that helps.
