Default B18B Valves

having a hard time finding b18b valves that are flat topped to raise compression a bit, was curious if b18c valves would fit in the head or not?

i had that feeling, so any idea where i can get b18b high CR valves or head gasket? its stock 9.2:1 and im looking to get into the 10-11:1 range...dont really feel like touching the block, too much money for too little gains

A thinner headgasket and flat-faced valves aren't going to get the compression that high.

...and you probably wouldn't even notice it on the butt dyno.

mill the head, use a 2 layer headgasket, and high compression valves, and maybe you'll get close to 10-11:1

i was considering an ls-vtec but i decided just put a new b18b in, and start rebuilding it, i am doing considerable head porting and polishing, 3 angle valve job, cams, new intake mani and cold air, throttle body, header, and greddy exhaust...wanted a high compression to go along with that...

why do all that and not dig into the block?

:werd: build the bottom end and you would/will be alot ahppier with your numbers, but then again why wouldnt you boost the b18b (lower compression of course)
