if i want to build the bottom end its gonna take a new bore, hone, pistons, and rods, and i really honestly dont feel like having that all done, way too expensive

then you are severely limiting your potential with a built head. might as well just leave everything stock. how much do you think a built head is going to cost?

you can still get very good result with oem parts.

a built head with better flow will make a lot more power, even without a built block...my buddy has an ls-vtec, left the block alone, and left the head alone, just did cams, and makes over 200 whp

i find that very hard to believe

stock b18b compression is 9.5:1. good if you want to boost. not so much if you want to stay all motor.

ehhh with a gsr head the compression goes up to like 10:1 i think...all vtec heads have a smaller cc than nonvtec...

still, 200whp with only cams is very very hard to believe
