For $1700, you better make sure it has been compression tested and leak-down tested. 3 days ago I bought an almost new B18C Sir-G motor for $1800 with approx. 40,000 miles, 250psi across all cylinders.

How many miles does the motor have that you want to buy?

IF and only if the sleeve is just cracked on your block then i would find a machine shop and have the block resleeved, bored and honed! that will a be little over $1000. Go to www.importperformance.com and buy 4 gsr rods for $150. and then go to www.inlinefour.com and order the Spoon JDM Type R Pistons which include the rings and wristpins for $360. bearings and gaskets should be more than a couple hundred bucks. You may be better of going this route if your sleeves are damaged and not the entire block. this way you know that the motor you have just put together is new and not a motor that you may not know whats going on internally from some guy that may have thrashed on that motor!
