Knocking under the hood..

Default Knocking under the hood..

My engine tends to knock when i accelerate, it tends to gets worse as I increase my speed and sometimes my steering wheel turns to the right really fast and locks. The knocking doesnt happend when im in nuetral. If you could please help me out and tell me what this is i would really appreciate it,,thanks

what car and engine? i would stop driving that car if i were you. that sounds dangerous as hell.

is it a loud knock? or does it sound like marbles in a can?

sounds like possible rod knock. is it a stock b20? have you been revving the piss out of it? can you tell where from the engine it's coming from? either way i would not continue driving that in it's current state.

you're not giving much info here. first answer these questions..

- what mods do you have done?
- how high are you revving it?
- how often are you revving this high?

It's your axle. It doesn't happen in neutral, so it's nothing engine related. This would also explain the steering wheel vibration/lock.

i changed my rac/pinion and it still makes the noise

Well, did you change it before this knocking occured or did it start after you replaced the rack and pinion...

If you want help, you need to explain a little better...
Besides, that does sound extremely dangerous, do you have a deathwish or something? LOL
