Default some balancing questions.

Hi EvEryonE ~!~!

I was wondering . . if a stock block is used for more then 10 years (with many many Ks miles on it). . . Will the block sleeved be out of shape or wear and tear ? ? ?

Lets say if currently i have a B16A2 . . and i purchase a B16A2 with ported head and have everything balanced . . when i got it shiped, can i do the swap with all the parts except the block ? ? cos the vin no is on the block . . i dun wanna swap the block . . i just wan the ported head balanced crank shaft all that . . my question is . . if i did it like this . . will all the balancing go to waste ? ? ? ?

ThankzZ in advance for the replies

You want to swap internals and crank from one engine into another block? Is that the right idea I'm getting.

YozZ 1stGenCRXer ~!~!

Yeah you are right about what i mean. I got a B16A which has been running for 10 years . . and now i wanna rebuilt the engine . . and the place i stayed in dosen't have much knowledge in cars . . So i was thinking of importing a built engine and swap the internal of the engine into my block cos i need to retain the VIN number . . .

ThankzZ

Everything will still be balanced as long as you swap everything, crank pulley to flywheel.

Quite frankly, though, if you are having machine shop work done to a block that is being sent to you, I'd have them blueprint the new block, and drop in the whole motor.

Why pay all that money and end up using an old block? You'll just end up spending money machining the new one.

Anyway thankzZ for the reply

by the way . . when blueprinting the block . . i thought they only balance all the rotating parts(or i'm wrong about it) ? ? the only thing that can go wrong is the piston sleeve and the block sleeve may have gap . .

does it means that for example if i have a block and i wanna up grade the piston . . must i bring the block to the machine shop to balance the piston with the block ? ? ? ?

another question is . . when balancing the crank to reduce vibration . . issit balance against the block (where the crank and the block connects) ? ? ? ? ?

normally a fully balance engine . . which part does they balance ? ?

Sorry for all the irritating question :P someone reply me please

They only balance the rotating items yes, but they also match bearing sizes for the block to the crank, and machine the cylinders to match the pistons.
