Quick easy udgrades?
Hey,
I have a 95 SE non-vtec
and Im tring to make it a little faster then it is on a somewhat limited budget. I bought a AEM CAI, NGK Iridium spark plugs, axil-back exhaust (nothing fancy) and a few things for looks but not much for the engine. Im thinking about getting nology hotwire plugs and I can get dsm 450cc injectors for a good deal but they seem a little overkill, for my purposes anyway. I dont have the money to boost so I'm wondering what you all think I should do instead? And do any of you all know if the Hot wires are worth the price?
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks,
Colin

plug wires for what you have done will do little if anything to your performance...same with the iridium plugs...an underdrive crank pulley or an adj. cam gear would be worth the effort..as would a header....much more than the plugs and wires would be....
Thanks guy,
Are the adj. cam gears hard to install and/or to modify? And for the headers which type is the best 4-2-1 or 4-1? And do you all have any thoughts as to which brand performs the best?

Cam gears are not hard too install, but you'll need to get on a dyno in order ot tune them. As for a header, if you're after peak, top-end power, go with the 4-1. If you're after more usable mid-range power on the street, go with the 4-2-1. As for brands, DC, A'PEXi, and GReddy make nice units. The JDM ITR 4-1 will also bolt up with some modifications. If your stock plug wires are old or worn, I would replace them with new stock ones or NGK's(NGK manufactures the stock Honda wires).
What kind of upgrades am I looking at to reach close to 200 horses for a non-vtec NA engine...Is it even possible without a turbo or would the upgrades be more expensive then buying a turbo kit? Should I just keep dreaming
or is this plausible within say a $2-3 k limit? Thanks for bearing with me.

200hp...on a non-vtec accord...i dont think thats gonna be possible on a SE accord unless you get NOS..then its easy to get that much hp..lol...200hp on a B16a2/3 or a b18c1 is hard to get for 2k...i know my best friend has dumped well over 3k into his engine and MAY be at 200hp...and this is his set up
2k EX Civic
95 B16A3
stage 2 port and polished head
Mugen 2ply head gasket
98 ITR tranny
Spoon Racing cams
Skunk 2 Racing valve springs
Skunk 2 ti. retainers
Skunk 2 adj cam gears
Unorthodox Underdrive crank pulley
Centerforce dual friction clutch
Comptech header
2 1/4in custom exhaust
Magnecor 8.5mm wires
P30ecu 5800rpm Vtec X-over 8600 rpm limit
short ram intake
Neuspeed Short throw shifter
(i think i got everything)

On topic though... 200 HP naturally asperated out of a b18b will be a bit of a chore, and you'll lose drivability. I'd consider an LS/VTEC.
With the right mods you might pull it off for $3K.
