Default Internal engine coatings

Has anyone found a real advantage to coating cylinder walls or piston tops or piston skirts? or lifter bores? Has anyone dynoed an engine before and after? Just wondering if they are worth the money especially for a nitrous motor.

havent seen any dyno numbers. but, it would be a good idea on boosted and bottle fed motors. skirt coatings help reduce friction and top coatings put a reflective surface in between the heat and your piston, resulting in less piston expansion and more resistance to detonation. plus it's not that expensive to do.
