This Happened 2 Me Before It Sucks Right It Makes U Feel Like Ur Cars All Cheap Well It Did 2 Me Anyway. Hope This Works U Might Want 2 Check Ur Fitv (fast Idle Thermo Valve) Its Located Right Underneath Ur Throttle Body Inside The Fitv Theres A White Screw, 2 Remove The Fitv Disconnect The 2 Coolant Hoses Claps, And The Three 10mm Bolts That Hold It In Place Once Removed , Remove The Plate That Has Philip Screws Then Screw In The White Screw Then Reinstall It And Start Ur Car 2 Check If It Still Idles Good Luck If This Doesnt Work Also Check Ur Iacv (idle Air Control Valve

Most likey it could be a vaccum leak, or a bad IACV. Take some brake cleaner or Carb cleaner and spray it around the IM and other on the Intake side. U might also want to try to take off the IACV and clean it with carb cleaner.

Wow, that's horribly difficult to read. :squint:

I'd look for a vacuum leak. The IACV could also be the culprit as HatchVX mentioned.

Definitely sounds like a vacuum leak to me.

Ok! Yeah ! Maybe It Could Be A Vacuum Leak . But .... When I Was In The Same Position As You. Everyone Said It Was A Vacuum Leak When In Fact It Was The Fitv And The Only Reason I Didnt Tell U 2 Check Your Hoses For Leaks Is Because The Majority Of The Time The Fitv Is The Problem It Becomes Loose And Creates What May Seem Like A Vacuum Leak. If All Else Fails It Wont Hurt 2 Try This Good Luck Man!!

That is assuming his motor is OBD1. If it is OBD2, it doesn't have a FITV.

I bet it's not a FITV...

Buddy had same problem, too much of a vacuum leak, he had a VX shell from the junkyard, after having the idle problem for like 4 months, and having checked EVERY vacuum line, we couldn't figure it out...

Everyone always just says "vacuum leak" but that doesn't really help, we replaced every vacuum line and found out it was a vacuum leak, but it was NOT on a vacuum hose, it was the actual seal around the brake booster, mounted on the firewall in front of the driver.

I bet this is your problem, although having swapped it into a mini, i don't know how the brake booster is set up.

Nice swap though, nice to see something that is new...
Good luck!

Like i said before just use brake cleaner and if there is a leak the rev will raise up.
