Default Cracked jrsc inlet.

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anybody Stateside had expierenced problems with
JRSC inlet manifold, mine developed hairline cracks, I subsequently had it
removed and repaired, a few months later they have re-appeared but worse.
For the time being Ive used Araldite to smoothover the split, untill I get a new
one this time, but I dont want this to keep happening, Has this happened to anybody you know and I wonder what JR's take on this matter is???

Ps this is the first time it happened.

Jackson Racing's customer service is garbage. I am sure they would blow you off if you brought the matter up to them. They are probably aware of the situation, but they won't do anything to remedy it like they should.

Between the lackluster HP gains, shitty customer service, cracking manifolds, or manifolds that leak castor bean oil, there are plenty of reasons to ditch that piece of crap and either revert to stock or turbo it.

Mate,
did you have JR or thier subsidiaries repair the crack? If you cant get it fixed through retribution, then id try deburring the manifold and repairing it with Devcon. Just for the record, its not the manifold that leaks castor bean oil its the blower case.

I have not noticed ant leaks, yet...
I had a fabricator friend repair the crack, drilled out and welded.
Im going to buy a new manifold.
Just wanted to know if others had suffered this problem and if it was common, If so I'd be worried, maybe I just got a bad casting?????????

JR is infamous in the Miata crowd for their junk superchargers and manifolds. You are definately on your own to find a solution for the problem.

I'd advise selling it now and getting away from it as soon as possible.

Do you own a JRSC or have you delt with JR customer service or do you just read horror stories that can also be said about any company out there? I have delt with Keith at JR and he has always been helpful when the manifold crack the first time did you contact JR? I for one have never had any problems with my JR equipment. Did you turn in all your warrenty info and did you buy the SC new?

No, I haven't. I have read more than enough horror stories to base my opinion. Just because you had a good experience doesn't give them a good reputation. I'm sure almost every company has horror stories, but JR has more than average.
