I had to drive 150miles each way to get my car tuned the otherday. I didnt even have a basemap. I had my turbo installed...but my OEM injectors, and plugs. I took it VERY easy...never past 1/2 throttle shifting at 3k every gear and accidently got into boost i think once crossing a intersection and the CEL came on ASAP. I shut the car off and restarted it and it went away and i made sure i didnt do that again.

thats exactly whats up with mine soo im pretty much going to park it... i hope i didnt fuck it up with it going off those 2 times..... i spent to much money and time into this.... shit. thanks alot to everyone that help me out. im def. a noob to turbo b16s....but i have learned alot in the past few months workin on this project..im going to the dyno within 2 weeks il post pics and such with results..

You guys need to learn to just trailer your cars to the dyno.

yes i deffinatly would park the car until your getting tuned. No use in spending hundreds to get your car towed to the dyno unless you have the spare cash or are a AAA member. I know i have neither, and as long as you take the proper percautions you'll be fine. My "incident was within the first 5 miles of leaving my house" i drove the other 145 miles on the highway flawless...and the car made 275whp on a totally stock LS motor. Compression and leakdown test today showed motor is still tip top.

Well it looks like your problem is fixed...
Map sensor will throw a code if it senses boost pressure, which is what happened...

Good luck, keep us posted!
