h22a not starting
92 prelude, h23 to jdm h22a. jdm ecu problem, dumping fuel, filled intake up with fuel, never started, key just turned to on and smelled gas and soon watched it come out of intake. bought usdm p13, solved that problem. now the car wont start. i have spark, fuel is getting to fuel rail, each injector sprays (whether or not they are spraying enough/too much/ right time). distributor cant be 180 out on this particular motor, so i know thats not it. car cranks and cranks, wont try and fire. sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it started to want to start. a put put putter. any help........
You positive that the cam timing is not off 180 degrees??
Me and my bro (mechanic) stopped by my buddies shop onetime, and they were having trouble getting a B16 civic started after they swapped in the motor... These guys r pretty good, but they couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start up.
We mentioned it SOUNDED like the cams were 180 degrees off, and they were like "no way man, we checked it like 3 times already"
They were so confident...
Guess what, they were wrong! It was 180 degrees off...
Make sure it's correct, could be your problem...
If u got gas, compression and spark, then it should start...

ill check that again, but im pretty sure with a h22, you cant put it in 180 off. and im thinking that it isnt getting enough gas, it wants to start, but my air/fuel ratio gauge is reading really really lean.
that happened to me when my cam timing was off 90 degrees, exactly like that, crank, crank, crank, forever cranked but never started its got to be cam timing I just hope by you cranking and cranking that you didn't bend any valves
